Asrames has currently four main functions, namely:
- Asrames is the FEDECAME’s purchasing office for the Eastern part of the country
- Asrames is the regional distribution center for the southern part of North Kivu: CDR Goma
- Asrames is the regional distribution center for the northern part of North Kivu: CDR Musienene
- Asrames, through its department BIOSOL, manages all activities related to solare energy, biomedical devices and communication.
Asrames is recognised as a Humanitarian Procurement Center by ECHO.
Asrames therefor also supplies non-governmental organisations that are funded by ECHO.
Most probably because of the HPC status (which can be seen as a sign of confidence in the quality of the supplied services, medicines and management), other non-governmental organisations financed through other donor funds have also become clients.
